Caribbean Tales Film Festival presents “Marley: The Definitive Story” documentary on August 17 at Direct Energy Centre





Bob Marley’s universal appeal, impact on music history and role as a social and political prophet are both unique and unparalleled. MARLEY is the definitive life story of the musician, revolutionary, and legend, from his early days to his rise to international superstardom. Made with the support of the Marley family, the film features rare footage, incredible performances and revelatory interviews with the people who knew him best.

Join CaribbeanTales and Islands of the Caribbean (IOTC) on Saturday August 17, 2013 at the International Pavilion, Hall B, Presentation Theatre in the Direct Energy Centre to watch this fascinating documentary directed by Academy-award winner Kevin MacDonald and produced by Tuff Gong.

We start the evening at 5 p.m. with Tales of the Cocktails (sampling of rums from Jamaica, Grenada and St. Lucia) followed by s preview of short film highlights from the festival. The Feature presentation starts at 7pm

The Gems of the Caribbean screenings are free to all, as they are included in your admittance ticket to the Canadian National Exhibition (CNE).
